In January 2012 The Balinese Flats is being remolded to a Wellness Retreat Center with full service Spa (massages, facials, wraps), yoga classes on the upper deck and a fitness work out facility.

To make this a truly special getaway we have changed the Balinese Flats to an All Adult-Smoke Free Retreat, we will no longer be allowing kids, smoking (inside or outside), pets or monthly rentals. We appreciate your understanding.

In addition to ensure quality of service only guests of the Balinese Flats or Piers are eligible to use the facility so that every guest is treated as a VIP member... each and every time. Our company is dedicated to supporting your personal well being and health through the use of organic products and skin care lines that can also be purchased for use at home.

Our goal is to provide guests with the very best of pampering & tranquil services a wellness center has to offer.

Each flat has been carefully designed with your utmost comfort and pleasure in mind. Working with renowned interior designer, Martha Grife of San Miguel de Allende, we've created a harmonious blend of colorful Pacific and colonial Mexico architecture

 

Gorgeous stained concrete floors, imported leather Icapalli furniture, hand-painted Talavera tile and folkart set a new standard for Port Aransas accommodations.

You will love our roomy bathrooms with imported Talavera tile showers and colorful hand-painted sinks.

Fully-equipped kitchens with a bar area are ideal for cooking your catch of the day or for extended stays. Feel free to spice things up with herbs from our organic garden. And since our all of our flats are one story, no hauling groceries up the stairs or waiting for an elevator! The living/dining area is perfect for relaxing or enjoying a meal. Or watch the sunset over the Intercoastal from our second story deck, "The Starlite Lounge".

For many years, the Balinese Flats, formerly known as the old "Dolphin Lodge" to locals, sat in disrepair and neglect. Built in the 50's, most of the charm of "Old Port Aransas" had faded away.

Seeing potential among ruin, we embarked on a quest to bring this unique building back to life. We gutted the entire building down to four walls and a concrete slab and began from there. The result is a harmonious space that resurrects an existing landmark and provides guests with a unique and relaxing vacation experience on the Texas Gulf Coast.
